Connie Has Been 'Expert Of The Week!'
About Connie's Work:
How/Why did you choose your particular field?
My own poor health and the health issues of family members led me to my
PASSION.
Was there someone (in particular) who inspired you into it?
Relatively speaking-grin-it was my parents and my children.
What is your 'Grand Vision' for your work, and where will it lead you?
The articles I am preparing now could easily lead me to the book that lives
in the back of my head. I see myself showing others the way to vibrant good
health. I will be a Way Shower when I grow up! I have been blessed to have
a life full of good people and good experiences. I think it's important to
give back and live in gratitude, truth, love and joy.
Tell us a bit more about your website and your vision for its future?
Actually, there are 4 blogs and a collection of websites. The sites are for
capturing names who can then receive occasional messages and information. I
blog about health issues and I share information as my journey takes me
through learning more about business, especially internet marketing.
What advice would you give an aspiring Holistic Practitioner?
Be patient and loving-first, with yourself; then with others. Not everyone
is ready to learn what Holistic Health enthusiasts know. We want everyone
to march to the beat of our holistic drum and not everyone resonates with
that yet. The time is coming when Holistic Health Practices are the norm.
We simply have not reached that point in time just yet.
About Connie The Person:
What makes you laugh?
Mostly I laugh at myself and my many mistakes. Little kids make me laugh,
too...and jokes, riddles, stories about others. I laugh a lot; it's how I
roll.
What makes you sad?
Injustices of any kind; other peoples' pain or illnesses.
What do you like to do when you aren't working?
I am the sponsor for a Toastmaster Club: LibOrators 986233, an
international speechmaking and leadership group. We chartered our club at
the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution. Every Monday I am there for
the meetings. I love to watch dancing of any sort on television. I have a
walking partner; our Book Lovers Club meets monthly. I enjoy reading
anything about health and healing. Presenting programs is fun for me. I
have done in-service programs for clubs, group homes, agencies, church
groups and health fairs. I love keeping house, cooking, and keeping in touch
with people I love.
Tell us some more about YOU?
Right now I am on a steep learning curve to understand the technical aspects
of the internet. Creating and uploading audios, videos, images and every
aspect of blogging is just delightful. My history is ancient, as I am
getting long in the tooth, but I have always lived in Nebraska. After
graduating high school I went to airlines school, then I worked as a cashier
in an office. That was a serious career error. After marrying, having a
handful of smart, talented children and divorcing I found myself, now a
single mom, working in a mental hospital. My health was failing; my mother
and son were ill. I needed to learn more about health so I became a Massage
Therapist and that's when I understood I have the gift of healing. While
living in South Central Nebraska I took up square dancing. That's where I
met The Normanator and we married 14 years ago. When retirement came around
we moved to his home area. It was in retirement that I discovered the
internet and became fascinated with the possibilties it presents. Now I
have grandchildren, stepchildren, even great grandchildren all over the
globe so I have much for which to be grateful. It's no wonder I love my
life!
