About Elizabeth's Work:

How/Why did you choose your particular field?

As a massage therapist, I came to realize that people were expecting me to "fix" problem situations that they were still actively creating. Not good! So I set out to support people in creating healthier lives.

One of the easiest and most effective entry points is the person's everyday language. Once a person can learn to "eavesdrop" on his or her everyday words, they can gain easy insight into limiting thoughts and beliefs. From there, it's a simple matter to turn them around and create something more in keeping with their true desires.

Was there someone (in particular) who inspired you into it?

My main teachers and sources of inspiration at the beginning of my "new view" were Caroline Myss, Tom Brown, Jr., and Doreen Virtue.

What is your 'Grand Vision' for your work, and where will it lead you?

I hope it will lead to people gaining greater practical self-awareness, especially as it comes to creating a state of optimal health.

One of the things that frustrated me as I began organizing my own healthy world view was how challenging it was to apply other teachers' principles in my own life. Although I thought what they said made a lot of sense, from my limited (i.e. less healthy) perspective, I couldn't get how to make their principles work in my life.

We offer a great opportunity to apply the Word Cures healthy living principles "on the ground" through a coaching program.

About Elizabeth The Person:

What makes you laugh?

My little dog, Max. He's so helpful. ;-)

What makes you sad?

Seeing people who are 'stuck' in life and too afraid to make the simple changes that would allow them to move forward.

What do you like to do when you aren't working?

First, there's my vegetable garden. I love working outside on a sunny warm day! In inclement weather, I'm a big reader.

Tell us some more about YOU?

I'm unendingly curious about human nature and how things work. I love learning about how people view the world. Questions like, "How do people get to be the way they are?" spurred my choice to earn degrees in Developmental Psychology and Energy Medicine.

Before getting into the health field, I worked ten years producing opera for a major regional opera company. And several years ago, I earned a black belt in karate!
