Your elderly relative could have been living independently in the past. You can have an initial set-up. But as your elderly parent continues to advance in age, you would not be surprised that she would be weak and would need other services. In case of illness, which is inevitable, you should have a ready plan. When your aged parent starts to experience physical difficulties, she may require another form of support. The worst thing and more difficult to handle is her mental difficulties. There are many factors before you make your decision on how to handle the needs of your old mother.

This is a must as she has been used to having her own where she can move freely and independently. In your home, she is just made to live as independently as if she is in her own house.
