Meat it is what makes predators have sharp canines and people have heart burn. Meat is what causes most peoples high cholesterol and excess fat.
Steaks and bacon are delicious, but nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels. There are a number of reasons why you should turn to vegetarianism.
It is going to help save the earth. Plants are part of the earth, that's true, but we can cultivate plants and grow them a lot easier than raising cows and other critters.
Speaking of cows and critters, we would be saving a lot of animals from excruciating pain if we stopped eating them. I know that animals only purpose is to benefit man, but still I don't want to eat every single animal I see.
Sometimes I feel like just petting animals or not eating them. So it is good for the earth and it is good for animals... two rather weak reasons to become a vegetarian.
The real reason you should is because it is going to greatly enhance your quality of life. It is actually better for your overall health.
You will have meat-heads argue that you are not getting enough protein in your diet or whatever. But they are wrong you can very easily get enough protein in your diet without eating meat.
Lentils and beans and whey all have a huge amount of protein in them, but the come without the calories and the fat that you get from meat. So one over the other, I would say that vegetarian protein is actually better than non-vegie protein.
Getting protein is important so I can see their concern; we need it for our muscles and especially our hearts. However, studies have shown that all vegie diets actually improve heart health drastically.
If you are not ready to go full blown vegetarian, just try limiting your meat intake for your hearts sake. The reason meat is so bad is because the fats we get form them; they are dreadful for the coronary system.
That is why when you go to dinner at some BBQ shop you are bound to end up with some heart burn. This is because you have just bombarded your heart with some fats that are wreaking havoc from the inside out.
Aside from being terribly bad for your heart which would subsequently have adverse effects on the rest of your body, the fat is going to wreck your digestive system too. Meat is just all around hard on your body.
If you really want a healthy lifestyle, you need to eat health and exercise healthily. Holistic means are the most effective way to becoming a fit healthy individual.
