Welcome to “As Much As My Next Breath” at http://www.hypnoacoustics.com
We have all been there. We cannot see straight because we are so angry. Perhaps, we are gripped with fear. It does not matter what the feeling is. When we are overwhelmed with a difficult emotion it is easy to react and get ourselves into a frenzy--making things infinitely worse for ourselves and those around us. Why not try something completely different?

Breathing can be one of the most powerful tools to transform negative emotions. Yogis have known for thousands of years that the secret to controlling your mind is to control the breath. We have to breathe anyway-why not harness the breath in a way that enables us to be more potent, calm and effective human beings?

When I studied Ayurvedic medicine, I learned many different breathing techniques. Today, I am going to show you an amazing one to cool out your emotions in a matter of minutes. Come on- I'll walk you through it.

We are going to be breathing solely through the left nostril. When we breathe through the left nostril, we are clearing the right brain which is also considered the subconscious part of your brain. The right brain (subconscious) is where emotions and images are located.

Here we go:-
1. Put the right thumb on the right nostril-closing it off.
2. Inhale through the left nostril.
3. Exhale, long and slow through the left nostril-imagine releasing the negative emotions, as dark energy draining out of your body.
4. Inhale- visualizing a golden light going through the nasal passages to the right part of your brain, filling it with radiant golden light.

You can do this for 26 rounds. Or if you are in an emergency situation-try it for a couple rounds and it will instantly calm you down and shift how you respond to the situation at hand. You can also do it before you have a difficult meeting or a phone call you must make. Just try it, right now. Remember to use it when you encounter situations that provoke difficult emotions. Have a wonderful week!

Till next time…..
