Do you want to be fit and fabulous? Well, you do not need to work very hard for that, nor do you need to spend so much. Here are seven of the most practical tips that could help anyone attain ideal health and fitness. As the Arabian proverb goes, People who have good health have hope, while those who have hope could have everything. The cliché goes, health is wealth. It is time you turn to a healthier lifestyle.

1. Move, move, and move. Sweating has been found to be beneficial to overall health of the body. That is because when you move more, you sweat more, and when you do so, fats are burned, stored calories are consumed, and circulation of blood is improved.

2. Trim that fat. Since time immemorial, you have always been warned against continuously enjoying unhealthy food like burger, fried foods, and fatty meats like bacon, sausage, ham, pork, salami, and ribs. Also strive not to overindulge in dairy products and sweets. Get lean and mean.

3. Quit smoking. How many times do health authorities and governments need to remind you that smoking is truly harmful to your health? Tobacco could really kill. The effect may not be instant, but it is accumulative. As you continue to smoke, you logically continue to generate unlikely deposits of impurities and harmful gases in your lungs.

4. Lower your stress level. Stress has been found to increase the likelihood of development of numerous ailments. The overall body resistance is also weakened when you are under stress, making you more susceptible to diseases and unlikely health conditions. As a technique to combat stress, spend up to half an hour daily to do activities that you really like or enjoy. Get a good massage, listen to music, or watch television. Chatting and laughing with friends also help.

5. Have protection against pollution. If you live in the city, you could not avoid being exposed to air impurities. But you could lower its effects. Avoid highly congested traffic areas, smoke filled rooms, and highways with lots of fumes. When exercising, do it indoors where air is cleaned and conditioned. Pollution free is a key to health and fitness, but sometimes it is inevitable.

6. Do not drink too much. Several scientific studies have proven that alcoholic drinks could potentially be good to the health. However, it could turn harmful when done in excess. There should always be moderation in everything. A glass of wine or beer could be good in a day. It could help avoid possible heart ailments. However, when taken in excess, alcoholic beverages could damage the kidney and the liver. The practice could also increase the risks of cancer, especially when done with smoking.

7. Always take a positive outlook in life. There surely is a strong connection between living healthfully and living well. Thus, you should always be jolly and cheerful. If you have good mood everyday, you could lower or avoid stress and make your system run freely and more healthily. Health and fitness gurus always remind people to smile, sing a tune, and be happy. It is one of the keys to a longer and more productive life.
