Colour is associated with energy. Energy feeds us and influences how we feel when are around certain colours. The colours we wear and the colours we live in all have an effect on us, on those around us and how it makes us feel
Colours we wear can work deliberately to interpret how we feel while colours in our homes are often chosen to create a certain “feel” about the space.
What colours are you drawn to?
If you are drawn to the same colours, your
subconscious is calling out for more of that energy. Is that colour you are craving say something about you? Does it help to determine who you are?

Feng Shui & Colour
Feng Shui uses colour to support various areas of our lives according to compass directions. These colours enhance, strengthen and support these sectors determined by the Bagua.
These colours will not only affect you, but also all whom share that space with you.
The following will help you to utilize Feng Shui energy to attract and enhance specific energies with colour and shapes. Use a compass to determine compass directions in your home and then decorate according to colours and shapes noted below:
South - To Enhance Recognition & Fame: This area is represented by the element of fire. To support this area use the colour red and triangle shapes in the south sector of your home. The colour green will also enhance the energy in this sector.
Southwest - To Enhance Marriage & Romantic Happiness: This area is represented by strong earth. To support this area use the colour yellow and square shapes in the southwest sector of your home. The colour red will also enhance the energy in this sector.
West - To Enhance Children & Creativity: This area is represented by small metal. To support this area use the colours metallic, white & gold and round shapes in the west sector of your home. The colours yellow and brown will also enhance the energy in this
sector.
Northwest - To Enhance Mentors & Networking: This area is represented by strong metal. To support this area use the colours metallic, white, gold and round shapes in the northwest sector of your home. The colours yellow and brown will also enhance the energy in this sector.
North - To Enhance Career Success: This area is represented by water. To support this area us the colours blue and black and wavy shapes in the North sector of your home. The colours metallic, white and gold will also enhance the energy in this sector.
Northeast - To Enhance Education & Knowledge: This area is represented by small earth. To support this area use the colour beige and square shapes in the northeast sector of your home. The colour red will also enhance the energy in this sector.
East - To Enhance Family & Health: This area is represented by strong wood. To support this area use the colours green and brown and rectangular shapes in the east sector of your home. The colours black and blue will also enhance the energy in this sector.
Southeast - To Enhance Wealth & Prosperity: This area is represented by small wood. To support this area use the colour green and rectangular shapes in the southeast sector of your home. The colours black and blue will also enhance the energy in this sector.
When choosing colour to support and enhance your space, use hues of colour that are pleasing to you. Colours that are not comfortable for you in your space will have the opposite effect. If you have more of a preference toward the enhancing colour rather that the supporting colour, add only accessories of the supporting colours instead of an entire wall. In Feng Shui, with colour suggestions, use colour hues that are appealing to you. Only pleasing decorative enhancements work. If they are not pleasing to you, then they will have the opposite effect.
Remember to create balance in the room with colours, by scale of furniture, shapes of furniture, good flow of “chi” and minimal clutter. Too much red can cause agitation and arguments in a room if used often or if there is too much of it.
