The Reverend Dr. Micheal Beckwith recently spoke at the Mile-Hi Church in Denver, Colorado, at their brand new facility. (you can find the series on YouTube, if you wish. It's quite inspiring!)During this appearance, he did what he usually does: he brought the crowd to their feet with joy and hope and great excitement of these wonderful times we're livingin.
What? Wonderful times? Are you crazy? Well. No. I'm not crazy. I'm one of the many who believe...no...who knows that these are the most exciting times we've ever even heard about, let alone lived through. Exciting, life-changing, expanding times. We are on the verge of the greatest evolution humanity has yet known. Oh yes we are.
Consider for a moment all the many dynasties that have fallen in our human history. Throughout each era, the dynasties that feel were the very same ones that oppressed and killed and even wiped out entire civilizations prior to their fall. It was the 'few' who ruled the many...and the cost was human life. (Gee. Sound familiar?)Happily, those empires fell, and the emerging societies were all the better for it.
Were they tough times? You betcha. Tough and scary and high priced evolutions. And so it is now. But it really doesn't have to be scary. It merely depends on your perspective of what's actually happening. Let's look at it another way.
Right now, we live in a world where the few hold all the power. There is war and poverty, violence and bloodshed. Disease and famine. Raping, disfigurement, abuse, abandonment, fear, homelessness, guns, biochemical weaponry, etc., etc., ad nauseam.
Is THIS the world you wish to save? Really???? Why in heaven's name would you spend one erg of energy trying to save such a world? Why would you care if it all comes crumbling down? Is this REALLY the world you want to live in?
OR...would you prefer for us, as Human Beings, to embrace a new world? A world where all the children are fed, clothed and educated. A world where the elderly are seen as the incredible gifts that they are. A world where no one is poor, or homeless or hungry. A world where the greedy are cast out, like lepers. Would you not prefer to live in a world like this?
If you answered yes, then the only choice we have now is to let it burn. Let this ugly, horrible, old-school world run by greedy, selfish boneheads, go up in flames. Because when the smoke clears and the ashes have fallen, we're going to find ourselves in a brand new, utterly awesome world.
This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.
