Your Worth Is Undeniable

Article Summary There are simply too many people on this planet who deem themselves unworthy. Where does this come from? Why do we not feel our worthiness? How is it that we can feel so utterly unworthy when we are ALL so perfectly PERFECT?
I see it all the time. Fact is, I used to be one of 'them'. Those people who just don't get how vital they are to the world. How completely essential they are to the rest of us. This horrible epidemic of cowering Beings who skulk around all day, every day, thinking they have no value. It's a tragedy. One that must be eradicated. One that must, somehow, take a turn and be revealed for what it is.

Being the tenacious little imp that I am makes me want to grab them all, one at a time, and give them a huge hug. Tell them just how much they matter. Tell them that their presence on this planet is important. To me. To you. To everyone else. Because, it is. YOU MATTER. And if you don't believe that, then you might wish to take a long, hard look in the mirror. Look closely. Be still. LOOK.

Stories abound about people who thought they weren't worthy, and then something happened to make them see. Stories like the little boy in 'Pay It Forward'. That little boy, who was a mere 12 years old, made such an impact on the lives of so many people, that when he died, the number of cars, people, candles who arrived to honor him was almost too hard to imagine. Almost. The impact we have may not be seen instantly, but it's there. It's real. And it stays around much longer than any of us could fathom.

I recall, not long ago, a woman who was apparently struggling badly with her own self esteem issues. As this woman later told me, it was around 3 a.m. She'd been drinking wine all night long, falling deeper into her depression. She was completely overwhelmed with this deep sadness which she could not 'put her finger on'. She got on her computer and did a search for 'joy'. That's when she found my website. She told me later that she spent 2 hours on my site, and with each passing moment, each new page read, she could feel herself rise up. Midway through, she went to the kitchen and made herself a cup of tea. She took a couple of Tylenol, in an attempt to head off the hangover she knew she was headed for, and went back to the site. In the end, she was 'compelled' to write me an email.

She spoke of her feelings of despair. She told me about her life and how horrible it'd been for oh-so-long. She shared some pretty dark secrets with me, a 'total stranger', who she felt was not the least bit a stranger. In the end, she thanked me. Over and over, she expressed her gratitudes for my website. She told me that it 'saved her life'.

Now, if you haven't been to my website, it's likely you're thinking, "Wow! There must be some kind of genius behind all that!". Truth is, my site is really very simple. It doesn't have a bunch of doodads or gadgets or sparkly things flyin' around. It's simply a heartfelt space where the Higher part of me is allowed to express herself. Sort of the old 'conduit to god' thing. Anyway, the point is, it's not about fancyschmancy. It's about HEART.

So, on this particular night, this woman, who was deeply disparaged, found my website (by the grace of....?) and was suddenly inspired to keep going. To not give up. To cast out her request for help. To LIVE.

Do you think my presence on this planet didn't matter to her? This woman, who lives thousands of miles from me, was somehow drawn to my energy. And my energy was a lifeboat for her. Do you think this doesn't matter...to BOTH OF US?

Today, if only for an instant, stand in the mirror and say it out loud:

I am a Child of the Universe.
I am a worthy Being of Light.
I am ENOUGH.
My presence matters.
Today, I AM ENOUGH.

Do a little chant for 21 days. (for the record, that's how little it takes to develop a new 'habit'. You don't have to believe me. It's a scientifically proven fact. Look it up.) Once a day, for 21 days, use this (as above written) or anything else that makes you rise up, just a little bit. Say the words, even if you don't mean them. Just try it! See if you don't feel differently about your Self at the end of those 21 days. I'm betting...you will.
